#CPD vs @LEPBogusBoys
My twitter feed is full of people asking, how can CPD tell LEP Bogus Boys that they cannot perform at the HOB? The answer is in the Constitution and it isn’t the “Freedom of Speech”. The Constitution grants the State a realoysly broad authority called police power. It was put into place, so the State had the authority to take the necessary steps to protect it’s citizens. Police power is defined as the capacity of the States to regulate behavior and enforce order within their territory for the betterment of the general welfare, morals, health and safety of their inhabitants. So CPD is using it’s police power to deem LEP a threat to public safety. Also, the CPD is probably nervous because they have seen a couple videos and ”think” Count and Moonie should be added to the Most Wanted List. But remember all great artists that speak out, often times get silenced. As bogus as this situation is, I hope we learn from the crooked nature of the CPD and how rules have been enacted to give them unlimited power of people. This is another sign that people of color need to unite and no longer allow for this oppressive bullshit to continue. Best of the luck to LEP camp. Stay blessed.
The only question I ask is, how is the CPD protecting the public from an event they willing want to attend? Think about it!
